Triangular Forum The triangular forum has an amazing view of the plain below. The complex can be reached through a propylaeum with 6 Iconic columns and fountain infront. it has a portico with 95 columns on 3 sides, while southwest side has been left open with it fine panorama towards the sea. Large Theatre Rows of marble seats encircle a stage in a horse shoe shape. In a gap between the seats is a small stage for the orchestra. Boxes of honour for the wealthy are situated above the main seats. Niches adorn the back wall filled with statues and entrances for the actors. The 3 entrances lead to a large dressing room out back. Gladiator's Barracks Behind the large theatre is the Gladiator's Barracks. Here the brave men train for their deadly fights. A large grassy area is surronded by 74 columns The entrance is guarded but adoring women are let in without complaint. On the northeast side a large spacious dining room is situated, with a large kitchen and annexed store rooms. The appartment of the lanista or instructor is on the top floor while the gladiators sleep in cells below. A prision for criminals is also located here.
